DENTAL IMPLANTS

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. The implants are manufactured by high-tech product “titanium” which is adopted to body easily and is extremely durable. They are placed by dental specialist in half an hour under local anesthesia and the sutures should be removed after one week. Implant surfaces are passed through a special process so they create a special band and hold mechanical and cellular to bone. The ideal waiting time for connection is depends on the bone and implant type and differs between 3-6 months. Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or all of the teeth. The goal of teeth replacement in dentistry is to restore function as well as aesthetics. The ideal candidate for a dental implant is in good general and oral health. Adequate bone in your jaw is needed to support the implant, and the best candidates have healthy gum tissues that are free of periodontal disease.

ZIRCONIUM BASED PROSTHETICS

Because of its aesthetic advantage, zirconium is becoming one of the most chosen materials for dental crowns and bridges. The transparent feature of zirconium allows a natural look especially at the front teeth. For many years in porcelain applications, metal substructure has been used for durability under the porcelain tooth. A new era was opened by using zirconium in dentistry instead of metal porcelain.

LAMINATE VENEERS

Laminate veneers are thin porcelain shells which are bonded in front of the teeth. They are preferred especially when the patient wants to improve the smile without giving harm to the teeth. Only 1-1,5mm needs to be trimmed from the teeth to gain a natural look. Porcelain veneer can be done in conditions like worn out, badly shaped, broken teeth and teeth with gaps. They can be applied in one week and sustain their colours for a very long time.

DENTAL BLEACHING

Dental bleaching (or whitening) is a common procedure  to reverse the discolorations on the tooth, caused by age, medications, colored food or drink consumption or tobacco usage. Even if there are two different technic for dental bleaching - in office bleaching (OB) and home bleaching (HB)- , last literatures demonstrate that there is no difference between these two technics considering the patient satisfaction and post-operative tooth sensitivity. The most important clue for the best result is avoiding tobacco usage and colored food and drink consumption, such as  red wine, tomato juice or herbal teas at least two weeks
